How do I calculate a percent off discount?+
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage to get the savings, then subtract that from the price. 25% off $80 saves $20, so the sale price is $60.
Is 50% off the same as half price?+
Yes. A 50% discount removes exactly half of the original price, so a $80 item costs $40.
